Saturday, May 24th

west view- we live on a lowland, I'd like to believe that our house could not have been built in this day and age with our wetland protection laws, but I could be wrong, our house is 100 years old, so it has been around awhile
south view, murky view and we have started to feel and see the mosquitoes that hatch from this area..I always say sarcastically that we live next to a mosquito nursery
north view
this is the the hen mallard with her 5 ducklings that lives in the lowland water just north of my north view, this water eventually dries up so I hope the water stays high enough for her raise the ducklings, we had a hard rain this week so the water is still relatively high
this is the east view, just freshly tilled today
this nestling robin hatched on Tuesday, May 20th, the egg next to it is pipping (sorry for the blurry view
this was photo was taken today, both youngsters are hatched and now 3 & 4 days old, the photo below is the female incubating the eggs, this photo was taken 2 weeks prior, on Mother's Day weekend.
These photos have been included because this nest is located just east in a balsam fir, beyond the fenced in garden
