Saturday, June 7th

I see: what you see in my photos, and mosquitoes buzzing all around me
I feel: too many mosquitoes chewing on my flesh
I smell: fresh rain
I hear: a chorus of various songbirds
It has been cooler than last week and windy this week, we even had a late afternoon downpour, so the mosquitoes have been waiting for an evening like tonight, warm and moist
Our eastern phoebe in busy with incubating her clutch of 4 eggs
The iris's and poppys are in bloom, and the garden is starting to take off.

 west view
south view, you can no longer see any standing water for two reasons, one it hasn't been raining as much as weeks before and secondly, the comfrey is so tall that it covers over the water.
